By bus

We’re lucky that we have some of the best transport connections in the city with lots of routes from the nearby bus interchanges.

There are three main bus hubs:
Eldon Square bus station, around 350 metres away, is mainly served by Go North East. Plan your journey at Go North East.

Haymarket bus station, is also close at around 350 metres away and is mainly served by Go North East, and Arriva North East link, offering lots of local routes to our surrounding areas and the Northumberland coast line.

Central Station’s also got a lot of bus stops for services starting and ending at the above stations.

Access information for passengers can be found at Go North East.

Night buses
Go North East night buses (12.30am-4.30am) are available on Saturday and Sunday mornings, serving Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, Washington and Durham.

All these buses have an ‘N’ in front of the number and are cash fares.

All information on services, access and timetables can be found at Go North East.

By train

The closest railway station is Central station at around 500 metres away.

For a handy guide to travelling by train visit Virgin Trains East Coast, TransPennine Express or National Rail.

Accessible facilities vary between platforms.

You can find more information about entrance and exits, services including ramps, low level counters, indication loops, toilets (radar key), lifts and other facilities and staff support at National Rail.

Parking and by car

As we’re in the city centre, we are easy to get to by all major approach roads, including the A1.

If you’re driving, pay and display spots are around locally that become free in the evening.

There’s also Grainger Town - Waterloo Street, a 24 hour muti-storey car park, also free in the evening, but do check the tariff boards for any changes and operational hours.

Right behind us; you can park at the Indigo Hotel on Fenkle Street, just pay at the hotel reception.

Disabled parking and by car

We do not have our own parking facilities, but there are bays reserved around the local streets, including two blue badge bays on Fenkle Street.

Designated areas are also in the two car parks on Fenkle Street and the 24 hour, Grainger Town, Waterloo Square multi-storey car park.

By Metro

Our nearest Metro stations are at Central and Monument.

Information for customers with access requirements, as well as all timetables and services, can be found at Nexus.

By bike

Look out for bike racks in local streets if pedal power’s your thing.
